Yoshio Mitsumori

Yoshio Mitsumori has been dedicated for healthcare industry for more than 30 years not only in the medical device industry but also in the extensive healthcare industry.

He started his medical carrier as an pioneer introducing surgical staplers into Japanese market in 1977, and since then he was engaged in many new technologies such as general surgery, cardio-vascular, orthopedics and many more.

He was a member of AMDD, JFMD, JITA and JCMD. Through his activities, he had good relations with US AdvaMed/MDMA and Eucomed in Europe.

One of his big achievement was the organization of US-Japan Medical Technology Leadership Forum as a coordinator on behalf of former Senator David Durenberger and former Minister of Health, Yuji Tsushima including both country's VIP politicians, hi-level Government officers, top academia researchers, leading physicians and top industry leaders. The meetings were held both in US and Japan as high level talk among key leaders for future collaboration of two countries in terms of medical technology development.

Besides medical device industry, he experienced US hospital administration and brought an idea of in-hospital managed distribution to Japanese hospital market which has been recognized as SPD service even today.

Edward M. Rozynski

Mr. Rozynski is the Chairman of the International Committee of the U.S. Medical Device Manufacturers Association (MDMA).

Besides serving MDMA, Mr. Rozynski has worked (and continues to work) in a global government affairs role for global-based, small and large medical device manufacturers.

Earlier in his career, Ed worked as a senior leader of the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed), the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), and the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR).

Toshimasa Tokuno, Ph.D.

Dr. Tokuno has a broad range of knowledge and experiences in biomedical technology and business.

He received his Ph.D. degree from Rice University in biomedical engineering with his research topic in fluid dynamics on prosthetic heart valves.

He worked for major medical companies both in Japan and the US where he experienced product developments and marketing/distributing medical devices.

More recently he worked for Japanese startup companies as a senior manager, being involved in manufacturing vascular grafts and developing a LVAS. For the LVAS (EVAHEART), he took a major role to receive the IDE from FDA and CE Marking in Europe.

He has made his presentations in scientific meetings as well as at US-Japan HBD (Harmonization By Doing) meeting.
